Well, it had been a long walk. The long-bodied dragon had finally arrived in this valley of half-burnt rubbish...What a waste of time. The tips that t-rex told her about had obviously been long off...Then again, he had been very old. Snorting in disgust, Redd shook her long, fluffy body and strutted on through the ash-dusted valley.
"Nuisance."She spat as she thought back on the t-rex again. How annoying! Bad info or was he trying get her away from food? "Food..Food..Food."She muttered, eyes narrowing as she glared throughout the valley land. Suddenly, she noticed brownish-white in the distance and broke out into a slithering-like trot.
A loud guttural sound escaped her maw as she came across the carcass, ribs sticking high. There wasn't much on the old stego, raptors or other scavengers had come and gone by the looks of the tooth-marks. No matter. Redd immediately began to chew up the tough meat, pausing only long enough to glance around for trouble. She was sure that were other predators looking for an easy meal. A meal like this, while there wasn't much, was worth fighting for in this ash-covered land.

The clouds of ash were so beautiful in the light cast by the magma.
Sorrilith was completely content to just fly over these lands, his wings carrying him distances that no ground-dweller could ever hope to reach. As far as the Wyvern was concerned, this was his territory and no one would be taking it from him. Ever. The dragon would see them dead and decayed if they so much as tried. But what could be done about the little invaders? Now and then some brave herbivore would wander into his home and threaten the sanctity and peace the red, scaled beast fought so hard to achieve!
As if... Some herbivore would wander through for some reason or another and the flying beast would descend at lightning speed to pierce their skulls with his talons and shred their flesh with his teeth. Anything that survived that would meet Sorrilith’s flame and perish upon the intense heat. The red wyvern was cruel, arrogant and apathetic to the suffering of others. But his power allowed him to act this way. If someone could come back and kick his scaley, little ass to the curb... Well, they could try if they wanted to. The wyvern may be a little headstrong, but he had the skill to back it up.
The male happened to glance down as he was flying, seeing a shape he had not recognized before. Certainly not his typical prey... Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be another dragon; one with fur. Sorrilith gave a soft growl and descended, landing rather loudly just feet from the other dragon. Glistening dark scales, luxuriously red and gray fur. In her amber eyes burned the fiery soul of a true survivor. A kindred soul, perhaps?
“Hello.” The wyvern spoke, his voice deep and dark. “You look rather famished. Why scavenge upon the scraps of my wastelands instead of simply going where prey is more plentiful?” She was certainly a dragon of the East. Western dragons often had wings and rarely had fur... At least, this was what Sorrilith knew to be true. If anything, the fire-breather did not want her to think he would fight her. As of now, Sorrilith had no such intentions. This lady was quite the looker, at least... Yes, he was very obviously checking her out, his eyes lingering a bit too long on her furry, little behind.

The loud thud of feet and the descending flap of wings made Redd's whole body revert into an almost coil-like defensive posture. Amber eyes glaring angrily, she let out a nasty hiss."Back off, wyvern."She would spit as he landed. Redd's claws dug into the ground as she anticipated an attack. A squabble over this worthless lump of meat..How annoying, but, it was worth the fight as the way this ash-covered land looked.
“Hello.”
Confusion split open the East's mind like lightning for a heartbeat. Wasn't he supposed to attack? She shook her head, certainly it was a trick! Redd rumbled out a nasty growl,"Go away."Her own eyes began skimming up and down this wyvern and she couldn't quite decide if she was admiring his armored body or looking for a weak spot to thrust her teeth into if need be. A snarl was trying to play its way onto her face, but was really only showing as a twitching lip. Oh, how she wanted to chew an arm off right now. So annoying. So annoying. So annoying company was!
“You look rather famished. Why scavenge upon the scraps of my wastelands instead of simply going where prey is more plentiful?”
"Your wastelands?"Redd huffed in annoyance. There had been no claw nor scent markers where she'd come in at. "I came here looking for food. Where I was it was...Better, but overtaken by some scoundrels. I'd rather live than die a fool."She snarled, taking a step forward and snapping at the air, "Now stop staring and leave! I found this, its mine, go on!" Redd's body twisted some as she obviously prepared herself for a rumble, still 100% on the fact that the male wanted her findings. "I will flay you."She threatened, lifting her long tail threateningly as she adjusted even more-so to be diagonal to the male. Frontal enough to defend herself but twisted enough to give him a nasty whack with her tail if she really needed too.

“Go away.” How cute. The little lady thought that Sorrilith would heed her words and obey. His smile grew and he dared to step closer. Still out of range for either of them to make a quick attack, but enough of a motion to show that the male had no intentions of going anywhere, especially not by her demand. “Your wastelands?” Could another really be so foolish? Well, maybe dragons weren’t all intelligent. There had to be some coal within the diamonds, at some point...
It was just a shame that such a pretty face wasn’t more cautious in these lands. One wrong step could get you into some magma, or into someone else’s home. “Yes. My wastelands. I have recently claimed this territory as my own.” It was a work in progress, but progress was going well if a bit slowly. The whole thing would take some time and working alone certainly had its ups and downs, but Sorrilith was determined and would not let anyone– no matter how nice their ass was –ruin this for him. Her eyes widened slightly as she spoke again. “I found this, it’s mine, go on!”
Oh? Did she think he wanted..? Sorrilith stopped and gave a deep-toned chuckle. “My lady, I do not want those pathetic scraps you have claimed. I know where the best spots to hunt around here are and have my fill, each and every day.” For a glutton like Sorrilith, that was an amazing feat. But it was true. Some areas of his home were more plentiful than others. Clearly, this place had something the herbivores dared to come here for.
The male dragon would wait and watch the lady’s reaction, ready to snap at her or dodge if she tried to attack him. Go on, pretty lady. If you think you can take him, if that worthless scrap of food is really worth fighting for...

Claimed the territory, huh? Redd scowled as the male stepped closer, what was this guy? An idiot? Cursing herself for not being able to fly, let alone breathe fire, Redd's tail tip began shaking back and forth angrily."Didn't I say go away, Spikey?"She snorted.
“My lady, I do not want those pathetic scraps you have claimed. I know where the best spots to hunt around here are and have my fill, each and every day."
Redd's round ears twitched with immediate interest. She hadn't seemed to noticed he had stopped moving either..The idea of fresh meat rather than the rotten scraps beside her would of course catch her interest."Oh, really now?"She dropped her defensive posture and meandered slightly closer to the wyvern, leaning forward to give him a inquisitive sniff from a few feet away.
"Then I suppose you are more willing to keep company, eh?"She took a few steps back again and turned to sniff at the scraps, her amber eyes glued to him still."I'm naturally more friendly to those who are not food-snatchers...Whats your name, Spikey?"She growled, though this time there was interest sparking in her eyes, rather than the previous aggression.
